Challenges for the NPF

The NPF faces a number of chalenges because:

• All the NPF members are 'volunteers'
• Most NPF members have busy day jobs
• The NPF currently has a part-time Secretary
• There is as yet no project budget
• The NPF has adispersed membership 
• Infrequent meetings
• Planning consultants almost totally unrepresented

So how can ODPM and NPF help each other?

• Jointly they provide a unique, one stop shop access to all sectors
• Reality checking
• By working together they can achieve real over-the-horizon thinking
• The ODPM can give NPF paid work to do
• Shared intelligence (no surprises)
• The ODPM can provide NPF with a platform
